We are as a European company very affected by the situation in Ukraine and take it very seriously. Sophie Bille Brahe is actively making charitable donations via the Red Cross. In addition, we have also seized all transactions with Russian clients and partners. We will continue to closely monitor the crisis unfolding in Ukraine and will comply with applicable sanctions and legal restrictions concerning Russia.

Sophie Bille Brahe is committed to avoiding and addressing adverse impacts on the basic principles for social, environmental, and economic development that we cause, contribute, or are linked to through our business relationships.

Sophie Bille Brahe is committed to ethical practices and responsible sourcing in all aspects of our business. We recognize our responsibility to ensure that the materials we use, including gold and freshwater pearls, are sourced in a manner that respects human rights, promotes environmental sustainability, and supports the economic development of the communities from which they are sourced.

Our pearl jewellery is handmade by a jewellery manufacturer in Thailand using 14K certified recycled gold with freshwater pearls. The pearls are sourced from pearl farms in Zhuji, China. Our diamond jewellery is made by a jewellery manufacturer in Valenza, Italy, using 18K certified recycled gold. All gold is responsibly sourced from reclaimed refiners and certified Responsible Jewellery Council Chain of Custody certified sources.

Both suppliers are members of Responsible Jewellery Council and adhere to the RJC Code of Practices Standard (COP) that promotes ethical, social, and environmental practices and the respect of human rights.

We are committed to sourcing our gold and freshwater pearls from suppliers who adhere to high ethical standards. This includes ensuring that these materials are not associated with human rights abuses, conflict, or environmental degradation. We require all our suppliers to comply with international laws and standards, including the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas, the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the Responsible Jewellery Council's Code of Practices.

We actively engage with our suppliers to ensure compliance with our Responsible Sourcing Policy. This includes regular communication, capacity building, and, when necessary, conducting audits to verify adherence to our standards. We prioritize long-term relationships with suppliers who share our commitment to ethical sourcing and continuous improvement.
